BEARS SIGN QB DAN LEFEVOURLAKE FOREST, IL – The Chicago Bears signed QB Dan LeFevour to a four-year contract today. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. A sixth-round selection (181st overall) by the Bears in the 2010 NFL Draft, LeFevour is the NCAA Bowl Subdivision's (formerly Division I) all-time leader in total touchdowns with 150 (102 passing, 47 rushing, 1 receiving). His 15,853 yards of total offense rank second in NCAA Bowl Subdivision history. The four-year starter from Central Michigan is the only player in NCAA history with 12,000 career passing yards (12,905) and 2,500 career rushing yards (2,948). For his career, LeFevour completed 1,171-of-1,763 passes (66.4 percent) for 12,905 yards, 102 touchdowns and 35 interceptions and rushed for 2,948 yards on 671 carries (4.3 ypc) with 47 scores. LeFevour is the fourth of five Bears draft picks to sign with the team joining T J'Marcus Webb (7th round, 218th overall), who inked a deal on Sunday, CB Joshua Moore (5th round, 141st overall), who signed Tuesday and DE Corey Wootton (4th round, 109th overall), who penned a deal yesterday. |
